Finally a viable solution to the illegal music-sharing dispute?21st December, 2008

The age-old dispute (well it certainly feels like it) over illegal music downloading - despite years of legal wrangling, scaremongering lawsuits, Napster, Limewire and all the rest of it, there is still a huge amount of work remaining to be done before all the various interested parties here are satisfied. However, there is now talk in Westminster of introducing a new solution which might ’solve the problem’ (if only things were so simple). So question is what is it - and could it work?

Google Chrome out of Beta mode and ready to take on IE15th December, 2008

A few months ago we reviewed Google’s Chrome browser on this blog and found it a pretty high-standard product, roughly on a par with both IE and Mozilla. End of a busy week for etonDIGITAL!30th November, 2008

This week saw the public launch of four of etonDIGITAL’s current projects, after what has been a busy few days. Starting with a new web site for Vans DIrect, the UK’s largest independent van retailer, etonDIGITAL unveiled a sleek new design featuring XHTML and CSS design.

Next was Edengene Survey, a website dedicated to gathering info on the impact of the credit crunch on businesses and offering advice for managing the downturn, who needed a functional survey interface with full user account capabilities.  

Finally, East Harbour Associates have enjoyed tremendous Google rankings since the launch of their new web 2.0 website, taking their business consultancy services to a wider market, while AssurMutuelleSante, a leading life insurance information resource in France, has seen a significant boost in net reach with their new site.

StudentBOX.org goes LIVE!24th November, 2008

This week saw the launch of one of etonDIGITAL’s most anticipated new projects with; the new-look online student community B2B website StudentBox.org. Originally founded in 2006, StudentBox has grown into an international hub for providing a range of services for students and relevant organisations, and is now enjoying a steady rate of growth. With the site’s creator, Carl Pihl, currently appearing on the hit BBC business show ‘The Last Millionaire’, the prospects for StudentBox look very bright indeed.
