Hi Jimmy,

Despite your slightly over-aggressive tone you do make a valid point - the reason electronics in Brazil are so expensive is indeed down to high taxation of these products - it is the most expensive place in the world to buy an iPod, a Blackberry, a Sony TV and all the rest of it.

However - this does not explain why Sony have chosen to release the PS2 there now, as opposed to the PS3 which is available in the rest of the world. It would still be expensive of course, but at least Brazilian gamers would be up to speed with what's available elsewhere - the only reason for Sony not to do this is profit, since they know they can release the PS3 officially in another few years and make even more cash.

Thanks for reading and commenting, (though in future please try to express yourself without swearing)

what the f*** man?

i'm brazilian, and the ps3 console is much more expensive than your country, due to high taxes of the electronics products in our country. in brazil, a simple ps3 console cost R$1.200 (local), it should cost R$500 or less, then sony doesn't wnat to launch your console in our country. shut the f*** up till u understand about uour country.

Sorry for my bad english
