This post is essentially a glorified link to Twitter.co.uk - which is NOTÂ the uk domain of the popular micro-blogging giant, but actually an independent domain owned by someone entirely unconnected to the Twitter service.
Whatsmore, the owner of that domain is using the thousands of confused Twitter users that visit his site each week as a great way to raise money for charity (since the site has so many hits, companies pay to advertise on it - with proceeds going to charity).
All in all it seems like a very creative thing to do with a domain name that becomes suddenly (and accidentaly) very popular by association. This weekend alone the site has already raised nearly £200 for charity. Check it out for yourself at www.twitter.co.uk
