We just launched a brand spanking new version of pod3.tv, written from the ground up by that talented chap Boban Tanovic of Eton Digital. Based ont he superb work he did on the original site, and support through thick and thin, we were confident his team could deliver what we wanted, largely based on feedback from Ecademists and beyond.
We transferred content from the original site to the new one over the weekend, a project involving pod3, Boban and Tema Hassan of Gravity Internet. The project went incredibly well given the complexity of the job, with around 100 downloadbale files to copy onto a new server the tema has recently installed and load into the new database - and after final testing and checking and snag list completion, we went live at about 11pm last night!
The new site offers many more features:
* Chat and blog around each show as well as show ratings
* Download to desktop as well as download to iTunes
* Streaming 3 minute Minipod show previews
* e-Zine so you can keep up to date with news from our show guests
* A brand new downloadable PDF magazine containing articles, product reviews, complete show listings
oh - and a competition to win a free Video iPod Nano, courtesy of my sister company pod3av.com. The draw will take place 31/12/07 so you could start the year with a post-holiday-blues beating pressie!
