Great news for the gamers of Brazil – they can now get their hands on a Playstation 2 for just £280, and they only had to wait 9 years longer than most of Sony’s primary gaming markets to get it. How exciting! Either that, or the gamers of Brazil will laugh wildly at the absurdity of this ploy (I somehow suspect that they know that something called a PS3 actually now exists… and that even that costs less in most territories its available than Sony want for the PS2) and continue getting what they want via less direct means (otherwise known as the internet, or ‘unofficial imports’).
I personally am a little disappointed with the contempt for Brazilian gamers that Sony…
